Mortgage Brokerage
In addition to representing lenders, Newmark develops and implements
financing strategies on behalf of borrowers. Because of its work as
a mortgage correspondent for lenders, Newmark brings a unique
perspective to these exclusive financing assignments. Newmark's
credibility and commitment to service is recognized by the prospective
lenders targeted for any specific deal. This reputation gives Newmark
the attention of the lender that is necessary to tell a property's
unique story.
Acquisition-Brokerage
Since 1991, Newmark has acquired and sold commercial property acting
as both principal and broker. Closed transactions now total in excess
of 10 million square feet of property. Newmark represents and works
with numerous private and institutional investors nationally who are
active buyers. Newmark's ability to arrange the debt financing in
these transactions often gives Newmark an advantage over the
competition in the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate.
Consulting
Newmark provides expert witness services to major law firms and
financing advice to real estate lenders, borrowers and corporate
tenants. For example, the City of San Francisco selected Newmark
to assist in the administration of a $350 million bond fund dedicated
to seismic retrofitting of over 2,400 unreinforced masonry buildings
in San Francisco. Newmark also provide project feasibility consulting
to developers and corporate real estate clients.
Loan Servicing
On behalf of institutional lenders, Newmark currently services over $3.5
billion of commercial real estate mortgage financing including life company,
private and cashiering CMBS loans. Newmark has experience in administering
construction loans as well as the typical permanent loan portfolio. The
company is actively seeking new servicing relationships, in addition to meeting
the needs of its existing client base.
